Augmented Reality Dress

Augmented reality visual cues were fabricated from recycled fibres and embedded in bioplastic. A new textile was developed using needle felting and laser cutting techniques to create new tiles. These were sewn into a garment and used to form a set of markers for the augmented reality. When users interacted with the dress through the boutique digital application the textiles grew into 3 dimensional forms, communicating a new narrative of re-used fibres and sustainable design.
